Oh dear summer, we love you so much , but you come with alot of expenses. sighs!. Not everyone can afford taking their kids to camp or fancy attractions. I also think is good to balance both expensive and cheap outtings for the kids..
kids are very easy to please as long as the venue has things that will interest them. I have gathered 6 free things below for you to do with your kids before the summer ends.
1). Michaels craft classes https://canada.michaels.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-MichaelsCanada-Site/en_CA/Home-Show: The kids are thought how to make different arts and crafts. if you have a kid that loves to make slime, take them there. it will cost you only 2 dollars.
2). The real canadian super store .. they have cooking class for kids for as low as $20. They will teach your child how to cook and bake varieties of foods.
3). Take the kids to the garden square for free movie on a giant led screen
4). Take them to a recreational community center … if you live in brampton, my favorite is chincoussy park. They have rides and splashpad
5). Take them to your local library . They always have different free activities for kids zero to age 13, on different days of the week. Grab a brochure from the library to see which one will interest your kids . My little one loves the story telling, and my older one loves the science explorer and brain games.
6). Go fishing . There are always places to go fishing for free or close to free in every city. check with your city . if you are in brampton, check out
clairville conservation area on highway 50 north of steeles
loafers lake ..loafers lake rd north of sandalwood.
professor lake ..northpark and bramalea (be sure to check their policies and laws about fishing before heading there).
7). kids love to shop, take them to the mall, local farmers market….these places have rides at some locations.
8). Visit a public beach and do a picnic with your family and friends. This is absolutely fun. You can get a variety
of beach toys from the dollar store.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer before the new school year starts. Thank you so much for taking your time to read. Don’t hesitate to leave helpful comments below.
